The plan
$10 a month or $96 a year, after a seven-day free trial.
A card is asked for at the start; nothing is charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel any time before it does.

Tell me the evening news
Good evening. Here’s your evening brief. You were reading about the bridge’s colour on Tuesday; tonight the first story is the fog that has come in early over the Golden Gate…
Say “tell me the news” and Ambient takes the anchor’s chair. It chooses the stories itself, from what you have been reading and talking about, and reads them as the brief for the hour: morning, midday, evening or night. Ask for the latest on anything, a name, a place, a question you have been circling, and it brings back the story on it.
Ambient keeps a watch on the world’s news. It takes what comes in, the sources and the hour they broke, and weaves them into one telling, so the news arrives like a bulletin written for one person.
Each story is stitched to something of yours that touches it: a page you read last week, a thing you said on Tuesday. That is how Ambient crosses from one story to the next, through your own past, and how it knows which one to linger on.
Ambient never says more than the sources do. A brief is no place to improvise, so every line traces back to a headline, and every headline to the outlet it ran in.
What Ambient knows of you stays on this Mac. The search carries topics, never your pages, and a brief is never filed away to become tomorrow’s interests.

The hour picks the edition, morning, midday, evening or night, and the morning gets one story more. The day hasn’t started yet.
Without Plus
“The news is part of Ambient Plus. Sign in and upgrade from the menubar.”
That is what Ambient says when the news is asked for without the plan, and nothing is fetched. Upgrade, in the menubar or at the top of Settings, opens the account page, and the plan reaches the app within a minute.
On-device, free
No account and no API key. Replies come from a model on this Mac, Kokoro speaks, and nothing leaves it.
A memory of your reading
What you read is filed into your Thread on this Mac, so a later question, or a quiet insight, can reach back to a page from last week. It comes with Ambient, on-device or signed in.
A key of your own
Sign in and paste a Mistral key under Provider keys in Settings: the hosted replies, voice and pictures then run on your key, billed by Mistral. The news stays with Plus.
Billing is handled by Stripe. Receipts, your card and cancelling all live on the account page.
